Preparing for Inspection: Improving Standards and Quality of Care
HCL is sensitive to challenge facing Early Years Practitioners with regards to providing high quality physical and close emotional relationships within a safe and healthy environment. To help achieve the right balance for your particular setting, all aspects of our support can be tailored to specifically to meet the needs of Early Years Care and Education and Foundation Stage Curriculum.
Our in-depth experience across the education spectrum positions HCL to provide bespoke support for education providers to:
- Revise & update Safeguarding Policy & Procedures in line with recent legislation, guidance, research and developments in best practice
- Develop a Safeguarding Code of Practice to ensure that it provides practical help to all staff and volunteers to deal with, for example, behaviour management, physical contact, out door play, the Arts (drama, dance & music), acceptable and unacceptable behaviour
- Review management of confidentiality and record keeping in the context of pastoral care
- Meet the challenges of Child Protection and Technology and the requirements of the Data Protection Acts 1984/89
- Review Safe Recruitment Practice
- Provide an Independent view regarding sensitive issues (eg complaints and appeals processes)
